Heavy Handling helped Aurubis improve and map their logistics process.
Previously, Aurubis used about 30,000 trucks to load and unload ships. Logistically, this was very cumbersome and, in addition, thefts were being committed. So the customer urgently needed another solution.
Aurubis itself proposed a barge handler on tires. After some discussions, Heavy Handling came up with a better solution namely a hydraulic crane, a Mantsinen 300. This crane was 3-4 times faster than the barge handler. It is also a fully electric machine with 0.0% emissions that was completely customized. Therefore, a special weighing system was added. The crane weighs the containers as it moves. On standard cranes there is a weighing system but not as accurate as this one. Because this was so important to the customer, we added this more accurate system. So what makes this machine very unique.
